The Advent broom and other Christmas stories

When Ls Ruth finds a peculiar formation in front of her door - a kind of bouquet or rather a dry shrub - she immediately knows that this Advent broom carries an unconventional message from her friend Meret. What could it mean? Käthi Koenig's unconventional Christmas stories also tell of the precision mechanic Arthur and his elaborate Advent constructions on the balcony railing, of two girls with "line problems" on a Christmas cruise, or of a journalist who, frustratingly, does not receive the answers he hoped for in a celebrity interview for a Christmas hit in his newspaper. There are conflicts - and not always a happy ending. But the stories conclude as Christmas wishes: in reconciliation - albeit often in a way we did not expect.
