Sovak

The artist from Bohemia and pioneer of postmodernism is, like few others, a master of graphic techniques. He virtuously combines complex processes from etching to the rare photogravure, making nearly every print in his finely balanced nuances an original. Sovak's themes, whether it be the sterility of the media society, the elemental experience of nature in desert landscapes, or the autobiographical collage, impress with a crystalline precision in their design. Clear, almost minimalist structures dominate, along with network and grid formations that convince through subtle obscuration and powerful objectivity.
