Texte zur Tierethik

Based on original texts, many of which have been translated for the first time, this work provides an overview of contemporary philosophical reflections on the morally appropriate treatment of animals. It is divided into two parts: a moral theoretical section and an application section, which examines, among other things, what suffering might mean for animals, whether it is permissible to kill animals, and whether their lives have value. The issue of so-called animal consumption is also addressed, referring to the use of animals for the purposes of food production or research.
