Prüfung von Papier, Pappe, Zellstoff und Holzstoff

The multi-volume complete work "Priifung von Papier, Pappe, Zellstoff und Holz stoff" (Priifung of Paper, Board, Pulp and Wood Pulp) is conceived as the successor to Volume IV of the Handbuch fUr Werkstoffprii fung "Papier- und Zellstoffpriifung" (Priifung of Paper and Pulp), which was last published in 1953 under the editorship and authorship of Prof. Dr.- Ing.R. Korn and Dr.-Ing. F. Burgstaller; the author and editor of the first edition of the "Papierpriifung" handbook in 1888 was Prof. Dr. Herzberg, and it was followed by a total of seven further updated editions. Since the publication of this handbook, the production of paper pulp products has increased considerably worldwide, and the product range has been greatly expanded. New areas of application for these products have initiated new and more far-reaching requirements with regard to various new or modified properties, which can be achieved by the use of modified fibers.
