In 15 volumes, the America series describes the adventures of the comic heroes Dig, Dag, and Digedag on the American continent. Around the year 1860, they arrive as reporters at the New Orleans Magazine. They witness the open outbreak of the conflicts between the Northern and Southern states of America, which escalate into a civil war lasting several years. They learn about the great westward migration, the time of the gold rush that captivated all of America, and the struggle of the Native Americans for their hunting grounds. Curious, daring, and adventurous, they plunge from one adventure to another. They are the white brothers of the Native Americans, advocating for the liberation of Black people from slavery and helping those who experience injustice.
