Tervist! – Teil 1

This textbook is aimed at German-speaking learners who want to engage with the Estonian language in a fundamental and intensive way. Part 1 of "Tervist!" offers information on the history of the language, its writing system, and pronunciation in 12 lessons, along with a comprehensive presentation of grammar at a scientific level and an extensive vocabulary of approximately 1,800 words. While the texts and dialogues provide insight into many areas of Estonian life, practical exercises reinforce the learned material and offer ways to monitor progress. This enables learners to handle simpler communicative situations and read easier texts. With the accompanying audio CD, the textbook is also well-suited for self-study. In "Tervist!", Part 2, grammar is deepened and vocabulary expanded based on original texts and dialogues. A parallel reference work, "Basic Vocabulary Estonian-German/German-Estonian," is also available.
