With the help of the route-time-altitude diagrams, tours can be compared at a glance.
Tenerife – an overview of the hiking regions: With unique routes, our travel guide allows you to experience the island like few other visitors. The northern part of the island offers lush vegetation. The coastal region appears almost tropical due to banana and avocado plantations. The Orotava Valley delights with pine forests starting at around 1,000 meters in elevation, often shrouded in mysterious fog. In the northeast, the Anaga Natural Park beckons, known as one of the wettest areas of the island. On the warmer southern side of the Anaga Mountains lies a fertile valley where exotic fruits such as mangoes and papayas are cultivated. From the center of the island, the Cumbre Dorsal mountain range stretches northeast, dividing the island into a dry south and a wet north. The southern part of the island impresses with various terrain formations shaped by volcanic activity. A landmark of the south is the Conde Massif, a rugged table mountain. In the west, the Teno Mountains rise with unique gorges and rock overhangs. Rugged and barren high plateaus transform into a sea of flowers in spring. In the Teide region, the landscape changes into a bizarre volcanic landscape with solidified lava flows, sands of various colors, and some massive rock formations starting at an elevation of 1,900 meters.
