With its robust body, tiny tail, small ears, and dense, almost white fur, the polar bear exudes a sense of majesty. The mere appearance of this imposing creature evokes respect and admiration. The king of the Arctic has also captivated Norbert Rosing. For over twenty years, the renowned nature photographer has traveled several times a year to the Canadian coast of Hudson Bay to photograph the fascinating wildlife there. Especially in autumn, when the inland sea of Hudson Bay freezes over, many of these majestic animals gather. Norbert Rosing has uniquely succeeded in capturing the life of the "Nanuq," as the polar bear is called in the language of the Canadian Indigenous peoples of the Arctic, in stunning images.
