Product details

Water quality is a major global issue, leading to challenges in the development of promising technologies for water treatment. The primary sources of liquid pollutants are the wastewater from various textile, food, and dyeing industries, attributed to the presence of organic dye waste. Cost-effective materials such as nano-ZnO, TiO2, and activated carbon have the potential to be used for the removal of contaminating organic dye waste from aqueous media. The adsorption behavior, including process optimization, kinetics, isotherms, and thermodynamics, is thoroughly investigated and discussed. The content of this book proposes the development of a separation technology through adsorption processes for the treatment of wastewater using synthetic versus natural materials. The findings of this study would also be beneficial for the treatment of wastewater containing other organic dyes.
