Product details
The "Hibbeler" is regarded as the recognized three-volume standard work in the field of Technical Mechanics in engineering sciences, which has facilitated the understanding of Technical Mechanics for many students. This second volume on Strength of Materials includes access to the eLearning MyLab for 24 months (access code at the front of the book) and is a fully four-color equipped textbook and exercise book. It addresses, at a high didactic level, the fundamental concepts of stress, strain, and material laws that are essential for every engineer, as well as the related applications to the main basic loads in both simple and more complex components, including the sizing of beams and shafts under general loads. Stability issues and analytical methods are also discussed. The book connects more compactly than before to the previous German edition by focusing on the systematic solution of relevant problems. Supported by numerous color illustrations and photos from engineering practice, this objective is further promoted through many fully worked out and derived examples available as digital worksheets in MyLab, along with approximately 1000 additional exercises, more than half of which include brief solutions. Chapter summaries sharpen the focus on the essentials.
The access code for MyLab, valid for 24 months, is included at the front of the book. Important note for buyers of the eBook/Kindle version: Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide automated delivery of the access code to MyLab. Please contact our support with your invoice, and they will promptly provide you with an access code. We are working on this issue and appreciate your understanding.
