The present handbook for teachers "Leisure, Fashion, Living" includes 28 learning environments with many challenging tasks related to the three thematic areas of "Play / Leisure," "Fashion / Clothing," and "Construction / Living Space," and serves as a concrete guide for planning and conducting lessons. The learning environments are tested in practice and initiate a competence-oriented teaching approach. The teaching materials series "Technology and Design" for Technical and Textile Design was developed in collaboration with experts from the fields of science, didactics, and practice, and is aligned with the Curriculum 21. The five volumes focus on exploring technology and design. The concept of the series is based on a multi-perspective teaching approach and integrates interdisciplinary connections to "Nature, People, Society" as well as to "Media and Computer Science." The series consists of the following: For teachers, a foundational handbook for teachers - Cycle 1, a handbook for teachers - Cycles 2 and 3, and a handbook for teachers - Cycles 2 and 3 on Play, Mechanics, Energy, and Leisure, Fashion, Living. For learners, a workbook and a learning app for smartphones and tablets. Additional materials for teachers and learners are available on the teaching and learning platform.
