Children are curious, they want to be active, and they learn with all their senses. This language course for elementary school addresses these prerequisites. Pictures, play scenes, craft instructions, partner and group games, songs, rhymes, and rhythmic texts encourage children to communicate in simple forms as quickly as possible. Prerequisites: knowledge of the Latin script. Target group: children aged seven to ten who are learning German in Germany and abroad without prior knowledge. Learning objective: age-appropriate communication using simple means. Concept: Discovery-based learning: The active participation of the students is central from the very beginning. The exercises and practice games are designed so that students can carry them out independently in partner or group work and can also partially control them themselves. The teacher takes on the role of a helper who provides new language material or new exercises.
