Frida is a noisemaker - and one of the best in her field. She can imitate the sounds of horror and war. Only the hip-crackling that accompanies her own steps should be cut out, she thinks. You can hear the years go by. And yet everything could have gone on like this, life with Robert in the house outside the city - if Jonas hadn't suddenly appeared, a young director with an apocalyptic film whose soundtrack has gone missing. Frida is to travel to Japan, or more precisely to Kyoto, to reconstruct the lost soundtrack. But there, more than just technical tests await her. The encounter with the young Takeshi shakes Frida's world. And when a severe quake occurs, cause and effect, inside and outside, seem to be completely reversed.
