Product details

Loriot, alias Vicco von Bülow, born on November 12, 1923, in Brandenburg an der Havel, studied painting and graphics at the Hamburg State School of Art. His humorous works in 'Stern' and 'Quick' made him famous, although some subscribers initially complained about the "silly and repulsive dog pictures." This series led to Loriot's first book in 1954 with the young Diogenes Verlag, which couldn't receive any reader letters because it had no readers yet. This changed fundamentally: 'Auf den Hund gekommen' and other books found millions of buyers. Starting in 1967, Loriot presented his sketches and cartoons on a red Biedermeier sofa in the television show 'Cartoon.' The characters Müller-Lüdenscheidt and Dr. Klöbner, lottery winner Erwin Linde, and Lottemann, the spaghetti sketch, and many others became classics. Loriot worked as a writer, director, and lead actor in 'Ödipussi' and 'Pappa ante portas,' two of the most successful German film comedies. He is a member of the Academy of Fine Arts and lives as a Prussian with a special relationship to Wagner and pugs by Lake Starnberg.

Scenes from a marriage are often marriage scenes, especially when the breakfast egg hasn't been boiled long enough, the television is broken, or politics is being discussed. And those who think that only marriage counseling can help in such situations will be corrected by Loriot. Perhaps one can only say one true thing about marriage, as Loriot does: "Men and women simply do not go together...".
