Abstract: This study addresses the question of how social pedagogical family support can create conditions for change within a family using systemic elements. The first part of this paper deals with social pedagogical family support itself. It covers statistics and facts, legal frameworks, reasons for granting assistance, and the requirements for family helpers. The second part presents systemic approaches and attitudes of systemic therapists. This chapter aims to familiarize the reader with the elements of systemic counseling and therapy. The third part establishes the connection to social work by describing the application of systemic methods. Additionally, the systemic elements mentioned in the previous chapter are discussed, explaining their significance in the professional practice of system-oriented family work. The conclusion reflects on the aspects of the study and refers back to the initial question posed.
