Sylt – Lieblingsorte

We start in Keitum with breakfast under shady trees in Nielsen's coffee garden, enjoying a wide view of the Wadden Sea. Right next door, the Old Frisian House and the Local History Museum provide vivid insights into the life of the Sylt residents in earlier centuries. Then we take a leisurely stroll through the old captain's village. A visit to the island's oldest church, St. Severin, is a must.

For lunch, we enjoy Sylt Royal right by the water at the Lister Austernperle, before setting off through the fascinating world of the migrating dunes to the northernmost tip of Germany at Ellenbogen. This area features an almost untouched, solitary natural landscape of dunes, salt marshes, mudflats, and sheep. Our return to civilization includes a stop at the ice cream factory in List, where Sylt milk finds its most flavorful use.

Time for a swim in the North Sea! Forty kilometers of sandy beach invite you with beach chairs and family life in Wenningstedt or secluded stretches between Rantum and Hörnum. For dinner, we head to one of the many beach bistros offering good cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. We let the long Nordic evenings wind down by the sea, with a spectacular sunset at the Red Cliff.
