Swiss Grand Prix Design 2021

Since 2007, the Federal Office of Culture has annually honoured the work of outstanding Swiss designers whose work personifies the quality and global standing of Swiss design in all fields. In short, the Swiss Grand Prix Design stands for the best that the country produces in this field. The list of prize winners reveals the diversity and range of Swiss design production. In many different ways, they have all literally helped to shape the local cultural landscape and enriched it with new ideas. They inspire future generations of designers and influence contemporary design. They have made history in their discipline - and often beyond. In 2021, the Swiss Grand Prix Design will be awarded to graphic designer Julia Born, photographer and art director Peter Knapp and researcher and lecturer Sarah Owens. Now, for the first time, this book presents the prize winners of the year through a concise text and an interview as well as a short biography, supplemented with images from their archives.
