Sömmerda - a small town on the Unstrut River and also an industrial location. This characteristic is to be particularly expressed in the present photo book. With over 200 historical photographs and postcards, along with informative texts, Bärbel Albold illustrates the development and the tumultuous fate of the town in Prussian Thuringia. The images were taken between 1890 and 1930. The author wishes for this compilation to be understood as an inventory that amusingly and engagingly awakens interest in history as experienced everyday life.
