The bestselling author from Schmitten near Frankfurt breathlessly shifts from one topic to the next. I want to know if she would support a paperback about herself. Hmm, she says she needs to think about it and audibly consults her calendar. The jogging wordsmith probably doesn't have much time for additional projects. In the next two weeks, she will be filming a video in Nepal for a friend's charity. After that, she has readings scheduled in Erfurt, Leipzig, and near Nuremberg. "I'm excited to make a quick stop in Freiburg; I've never been there before." At the end of our phone conversation, the 55-year-old shares a few personal details with me. About her children, "they're already 19 and 26, so they're really grown up." Then she wants to know how things are looking for me in terms of offspring. I let her know.
