Sur le chagrin et le deuil

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross died in 2004, shortly after completing the manuscript of this work, realised in collaboration with her disciple and successor, David Kessler. Sur le chagrin et sur le deuil concludes a career of trente-six ans. In a first part, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and David Kessler present us with the cinq stages of the deuil, which are nowadays referred to as déni, la colère, le marchandage, la dépression et l'acceptation. They then analyse this theory through their personal and professional experiences and illustrate it with numerous real-life examples. In the course of the chapters, they also discuss various aspects of the duel: sadness, hallucinations, dreams, children, fear, isolation, right up to the delicate subject of sexual relations during the duel.
