Supply Chain Management in der Automobilzulieferindustrie

The aim of this book is to elaborate on the planning and control options for production components in an automotive supplier company. By strategically employing methods, the inventory levels of individual parts and semi-finished products, and consequently the overall lead time, are reduced. Furthermore, decision criteria for determining production quantities are developed, aiming to achieve a minimum of production costs and associated inventory costs. Therefore, the supply chain, production planning, and material disposition are initially examined. Additionally, an analysis of lead time scheduling and capacity coordination is conducted, from which production control is derived. Finally, controlling options that enable continuous monitoring of the optimized processes are presented.
