Isaiah Quintabe, the brilliant unlicensed private detective who mostly solves problems for the common people in Long Beach, L.A., stumbles upon the wreck of the car that killed his brother Marcus years ago. It quickly becomes clear to him: it was not an accident, but murder. At the same time, his brother's former girlfriend reaches out - her half-sister in Las Vegas is in trouble. Hopelessly addicted to gambling, she and her boyfriend tried to blackmail the 14K Triad. IQ and his sidekick Dodson head to Las Vegas to defuse the situation. Meanwhile, suspicions arise that IQ's deceased brother Marcus may not have been a saint after all and had connections to the Rwandan gangster Seb Habimana. IQ must fight on multiple fronts simultaneously, as a nasty loan shark and the Locos Surenos 13, a powerful gang, have also set their sights on him.
