Product details

The packer Galy Gay in Kilkoa sets out to buy a fish and finds himself among the soldiers of an English machine gun unit, who have lost their fourth man while breaking into a pagoda. They transform him, so that nothing is noticed, into this fourth man. Galy Gay becomes Jeraiah Jip. At first, he calls himself that, and in the end, he truly is. Who left in the morning as a contemplative individual marches in the evening as a number among thousands, as a collective term, as a soldier to Tibet. A man is a man. For this to happen, he is disassembled and reassembled like a machine, like a car. This assembly takes place in six parts. Outside, the army is setting out. Time is pressing. Inside the canteen, the soldiers are constructing a living man around him.
