I.Q

I.Q. is what they call Isaiah Quintabe in the black hoods of Los Angeles. Because he is a genius and acts as a sort of neighborhood detective without a license, helping the little people get their rights. Or, when that’s difficult, at least achieving justice, satisfaction, and compensation. Together with his quick-witted sidekick, the gangster Dodson, he is reluctantly hired by top rapper Black the Knife to investigate murder attempts on his life. This leads them into the dark heart of the rap business, where a host of strange and deadly characters lurk: gangsta rappers, bitches, lawyers, hitmen, drug lords, big business people, and media folks. Soon, I.Q. and Dodson find themselves dealing with rival gangs, trigger-happy narcos, and greedy music producers. Thankfully, I.Q. is a master of deduction, and it’s also good that he has just as much criminal energy when necessary.
