Product details
Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans with full force and catapults the proud city of the South back into the Middle Ages. The city is flooded, corpses swim around and people try to save their belongings. The inhabitants are evacuated, the houses are abandoned, the electricity is gone and no trace of law and order is left. A deep trench of mistrust separates the white and the black population and the help of the authorities is still to be seen. A deadly breeding ground for crime. Even Detective Dave Robicheaux is stunned. In the midst of this apocalyptic scenario, he is supposed to find two rapists, a drug-addicted priest and the initiator of a vigilante group, who is much more dangerous than the criminals who are busy plundering the city.
