Product details
Passion and courage in times of greatest despair. The Second World War did not spare the Nielands and their close confidants. Even many years later, the family still feels the losses they endured. Aspiring journalist Isabel, granddaughter of Sofie Timmlein and Edith Nieland, makes a discovery during her research that has far-reaching consequences for the family. Meanwhile, Isabel's cousin Rosa Timmlein is separated from the family by the construction of the Wall. When a devastating storm surge hits Hamburg, the strong bond between the Nieland and Timmlein families is once again put to the test.
In this moving family saga, Charlotte Jacobi tells the story of a Hamburg shipping dynasty amidst war, secrets, and deep emotions in a profoundly touching way. "Storm over the Villa on the Elbe Shore" is the concluding volume of the Elbe Shore Saga, following the successful first volume "The Villa on the Elbe Shore" and "Longing for the Villa on the Elbe Shore."
Charlotte Jacobi is the joint pseudonym of the author duo Eva-Maria Bast and Jørn Precht. The Überlingen journalist Eva-Maria Bast is the head of Bast Medien GmbH, while Stuttgart university professor Jørn Precht is a screenwriter for film and television productions. Both have published numerous non-fiction books and contemporary historical novels and have won awards.
