Wege zur Psychosozialen Notfallversorgung

This book serves both as a retrospective and an assessment of psychosocial emergency care (PSNV), as well as a tribute to the central pioneer of PSNV in Germany: Jutta Helmerichs, head of the "Psychosocial Crisis Management" department at the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance. Experts from the PSNV field address structural and conceptual questions and the impacts of the so-called consensus process in 25 contributions. They report on research projects and findings that significantly influence the offerings, structures, and measures of PSNV. At the same time, they share experiences, connections, reflections, moving stories, and very personal encounters, expressing gratitude and recognition for a groundbreaking initiator of PSNV.

In the first section, colleagues recall encounters, perceptions, and developments from their perspective, vividly tracing how PSNV has evolved in Germany. The second section contains contributions that delve into structural and conceptual issues. In particular, it addresses the effects of the consensus process for PSNV, which was moderated from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, the training of PSNV personnel, the design of long-term aftercare services, international connections, and the importance of networks are discussed in these chapters.

In the third section of the volume, researchers report on studies in the context of PSNV, meaning completed and ongoing projects whose results have significantly contributed in recent years to establishing measures, offerings, structures, and actors. Thus, the anthology provides a comprehensive overview of the current status of PSNV in Germany.
