The book "Study of KDP Crystals" offers a comprehensive examination of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP), a significant nonlinear optical material used in various optoelectronic applications. Authors P. DivyaSurjith and K. Viswanathan present the results of their research on the growth and characterization analysis of pure and doped KDP. The study employs the Slow Evaporation Solution Growth Technique to cultivate KDP crystals under constant temperature conditions. Special attention is given to the effects of dopants, such as ammonium chloride and ammonium bromide, which were added in varying concentrations. The results include detailed analyses of crystallinity, cell parameters, and changes in the functional groups of KDP through FTIR analyses. Additionally, the improvement of the transmittance of the grown KDP crystals is discussed through UV-Vis spectral analyses.
