In her study, Jessica Ordemann examines the occupational status and earnings of non-traditional university graduates without a baccalaureate. Using data from the National Educational Panel (NEPS), these educational returns are compared with the returns of traditional university graduates with Abitur. The central finding of the study is that non-traditional graduates are placed lower in the occupational hierarchy, but earn as much as traditional graduates.
