The editors are investigating the extent to which the Bologna Process actually achieves the desired increase in the practical relevance of studies and what contribution the internships make. Different perspectives are included: employers, university, students. One focus is on the results of studies on the concepts and effects of internships in different subject cultures, including the teaching profession, which were determined in the BMBF project "Evidence-based professionalization of practical phases in non-university learning locations" (ProPrax). Conclusions for the design of internships as well as for the professionalisation of teaching are derived.
