Ströfer:Kirschberg

Arthur lives a sheltered life in the small town of Goethe. Everything is extraordinarily familiar and unremarkable, yet events occur that he seems to be at the mercy of: political changes, strange encounters, minor and major mishaps. However, it is only the move to the big city that leads to real problems, confronting him with unexpected brutality and nearly causing him to fail. A new friendship and regular bike rides to his old home help him in this difficult restart. These rides take him over the Kirschberg on the outskirts of the city, the boundary between the world of growing up and carefree childhood. These two poles shape Arthur's second decade of life, representing unforgettable experiences and memories, and after the oral final exams, he finds himself without the dreamlike euphoria he had hoped for at the end of his school years. And some things did indeed unfold similarly in the 1960s of the last century.
