This manual will equip you to implement the psychological health promotion programme: Calm and confident under stress. It has been used successfully for over 25 years and is subsidised by the statutory health insurance funds as a certified preventative measure. In Part I you will find background knowledge from stress research: compact, well-founded and easy to understand. Part II contains the training modules: (1) Relaxation training: relax and let go. (2) Mental training: developing favourable mindsets and attitudes. (3) Problem-solving training: recognising, accepting and changing stressful situations. (4) Pleasure training: relax and enjoy. (5) Supplementary modules on coping with stress through sport and exercise, maintaining a social network, clarifying goals, healthy use of time and the 4xA strategy for acute cases. From the contents: Didactic tips for competent implementation of the training - varied design with many tried and tested exercises - participant documentation that informs and motivates - all training materials are available online for printing. The author: Prof Dr Gert Kaluza is a psychological psychotherapist and works as a trainer, coach and author in the field of individual and workplace health promotion. After working at universities for 20 years, he founded his own training institute, the GKM Institute for Health Psychology, in 2002, which he ran himself until 2022.
