The new edition of the Stratego series offers spelling exercises that enable pupils at lower secondary level to acquire spelling strategies in a targeted and independent way. Independent learning is encouraged with the help of basic spelling techniques (looking up, finding and correcting mistakes, word list, transcription, partner dictation). A self-control of the learning success for the pupils is guaranteed both by the inserted solution part and by competence tests at the end of an exercise unit. In order to take account of the increasingly heterogeneous student population, differentiation tasks are offered in some places for more capable pupils. Each volume is preceded by a brief explanation of the concept of the series, which is presented to both teachers and students.
