How should an examiner behave during the examination process, especially when they have discovered errors? How can examiners and examinees work together to improve structures and processes? So far, there has been little discussion of this question in the scientific literature on examination theory. Michaela Donle systematizes the existing knowledge in business examination theory and psychology and investigates which factors influence the handling of errors and how error management, in turn, affects the process. She develops a questionnaire to capture the examiner's error management and subjects it to empirical validation. The author describes different strategies and demonstrates when certain behaviors may be appropriate.
