For the new edition of Stowasser, the layout has been made more reader-friendly with colored keywords and different font types. The author abbreviations now also include Cicero and Caesar. For the first time, the dictionary includes verbs in the infinitive form. Additionally, all entries are organized by frequency and importance, allowing meanings to be found quickly and reliably. The articles are more clearly structured, and all citations are fully written out and translated. The new edition reflects the vocabulary of current school readings and is aligned with the curricula. It takes into account recent reading trends, texts up to Benedict XVI, proverbs, sayings, idioms, and includes the 1,000 most important proper names. The translations have been adapted to contemporary language use.
