Tank interior cleaning is a crucial factor not only in the cost accounting of the freight forwarder but also a decisive quality feature for the customer. Strict regulations from authorities and the industry are leading to increasingly tighter restrictions on the range of products that can be accepted for cleaning at the stations. Therefore, it becomes even more important to know during route planning what can be cleaned where. The service booklet "Tank Cleaning in Europe," known among truckers as the "European Cleaning List," is thus part of the internal quality manual for many freight forwarders and operators.

The practical booklet, now in its 31st fully revised edition, lists more than 600 facilities in 32 European countries where tank trucks, tank wagons, silos, tank containers, and IBCs can undergo interior cleaning. Country maps assist in quickly identifying the nearest facility. Color codes differentiate between cleaning operations for hazardous goods on one hand and harmless goods such as plastic granules or foodstuffs on the other.

In addition to the address, each entry provides information about an SQAS assessment of the facility, opening hours and possible waiting times, non-accepted products, issued cleaning documents, and service facilities.
