Product details
Stevia rebaudiana, commonly known as Stevia, is a plant native to South America. This plant, known for its sweetening properties for centuries by the indigenous people, was discovered by Swiss botanist Moises Giacomo Bertoni. Stevia is the traditional sweetener for tea, beverages, cooking, and baking in South America and many other countries. Depending on the product and variety, Stevia products can have a sweetness level that is up to 300 times that of sugar. Due to its natural occurrence, its ability to prevent periodontal disease, and its nearly zero-calorie content, Stevia is referred to as the sweetener of the future. The author Thomas Janssen, who works as a chef, lecturer at adult education centers, and separation diet consultant, explains in the simplest way many delicious recipes that completely avoid the use of sugar.
