Death and mourning are part of life. But who is really ready to engage with these topics personally? In a generational conversation, journalist Lea Reinhard (34), journalist Michael Reinhard (65), and co-founder of the hospice and palliative movement Professor Ernst Engelke (82) have openly addressed this. They discuss the daily lives of terminally ill patients, their experiences and behaviors, communication with the dying, the burdens on relatives, as well as their often conflicting feelings and ways of coping with loss and grief. The societal dimensions and the pressing issue of assisted suicide are also not overlooked. The book invites readers to approach the topics of dying and mourning sincerely and to support each other in the process.
