Interventions Against Compulsions: Where They Are Most Intense. For many people, their home is a retreat and a peaceful space. However, for individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorders, many of their compulsive thoughts and actions are most pronounced in this very environment. Outreach treatment can directly address these issues and also involve family members. The well-thought-out concept of outreach treatment not only provides the opportunity for concrete therapeutic intervention but also directly engages the social environment of those affected, including their relatives. Unfortunately, there are currently only a few outpatient treatment options available for people with obsessive-compulsive disorders. With the experience of a successful pilot project behind them, the authors have developed a concept that can be implemented by any multidisciplinary team. This particularly targets community psychiatric networks. The authors present the entire spectrum of outreach treatment under the conditions of social security laws, thereby facilitating the decision for a model.
