The present new commentary aims to systematically present the law of representation, just like the edition from 1990, and to illustrate the connections to other areas of law. Since the first edition, not only has case law evolved, but so has Swiss and foreign literature. This also applies to statutory law. Noteworthy are the amended text of Article 35 Paragraph 1 of the Swiss Code of Obligations, as well as various new provisions relevant to the law of representation from adult protection law, corporate law, and Swiss procedural law. Additionally, federal court rulings that are only published online will now be taken into account in the commentary. The detailed tables of contents and the expanded index facilitate quick orientation. The numbering of the marginal notes has been retained, which makes the work easier.
