These are song lyrics, sayings, sentences, quotes that he translates into paintings or drawings, as well as onto surfaces, using his own script, his graphic writing. The poetry of the formulations and the painterly quality of the execution come together to create powerful works. Stefan Marx (1979 Schwalmstadt, Hesse) is a drawer, skateboarder, and cultural philosopher. He publishes artist books in self-publishing, creates album covers for various labels, and showcases his work at art book fairs and in galleries. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions and created graphic works for programs and labels. In August 2019, his daily drawn column appeared in the New York Times.
