The dilithium mine on BorSitu Minor is an understaffed, unremarkable, and unspectacular outpost. It is inhabited by miners, technicians, and scientists who have never harmed a fly. They also possess nothing of value. Nevertheless, the outpost was brutally attacked and destroyed—almost all the workers were killed in the process. The survivors have no idea who is behind the cruel assault. And what’s worse: the weapons used in the attack were capable of penetrating the shield that surrounded the settlement. This greatly concerns the crew of the U.S.S. da Vinci, as it could pose a threat to larger spacecraft as well. Now, the S.I.K. team, led by Commander Sonya Gomez, must find out who or what is behind the attack. And they can only hope that no one has invented a weapon.
