Staats- und verwaltungsrechtliche Grundlagen für das New Public Management in der Schweiz

The model of New Public Management (NPM) is primarily based on business management principles. Legal scholars only began to engage with results-oriented administrative management during the trial phase. Therefore, a comprehensive and in-depth examination of the constitutional and administrative law relevance of New Public Management is still largely lacking. This presentation contributes to closing this gap. It demonstrates how the new governance model can be implemented in Switzerland without jeopardizing the established and proven constitutional and administrative law values. The work facilitates access to public management for legal professionals and raises awareness among non-lawyers about the constitutional and administrative law dimensions of NPM. It provides a broad overview of the topic.
