Product details

The uncertainty surrounding sustainability promises makes it clear that sustainability is not only based on facts, data, and numbers, but primarily on trust. Even the suspicion of greenwashing can undermine this trust. Increasing regulation aims to provide a stabilizing framework and empower sustainable consumption and investment decisions. At the same time, it creates extensive legal risks by linking legal consequences to vague terms. This work, arising from the 3rd Sustainability Symposium of the Kalaidos Law School, brings together experts from corporate management, auditing, asset management, law, the judiciary, public prosecution, and academia to explore ways to deal with the growing uncertainty in light of new legal obligations and legislation. The contributions span from Swiss and European law to corporate responsibility and financial markets, all the way to criminal prosecution. The book is aimed at companies, researchers, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as legal professionals, and bridges the gap between science and practice.
