The volume presents the fundamental rights of the Basic Law in a systematic context. In addition to an introduction to the history of the development of fundamental rights, these are first explained in a general section and then individually. Special emphasis is placed on the structure of the fundamental rights examination within the framework of the scope of protection, limitations, and statutory restrictions. The individual problem areas are supplemented, where appropriate, with case examples and issues of constitutional procedural law. The volume concludes with numerous structural diagrams and a presentation of the most important theories and definitions of fundamental rights concepts.
