Product details

This workshop provides PLC programmers with the fundamentals of the high-level language "Structured Text" according to IEC 61131-3, using simple practical examples with CODESYS. It highlights specific features of SCL programming with STEP 7 V5 and STEP 7 in the TIA Portal. Through the online service 'InfoClick', you can find templates and solutions (import files), libraries, and self-tests for your projects. You can choose which of the three development environments you want to use to learn the high-level language - WAGO-I/O Pro (CoDeSys V2.3), CODESYS V3, or e!COCKPIT.

The contents of the workshop include:

  • Instructions, calculations, boolean operations
  • Data types, encoding
  • Control structures - alternatives and loops
  • Subprograms, tasks
  • User-defined data types, enumeration types, IEC operators
  • Functions, function blocks, libraries, and GRAFCET
  • Control with PID and fuzzy controllers
  • Ethernet-based automation, introduction, Modbus, network variables, monitoring and controlling via a web browser
  • Introduction to object-oriented programming
  • Updates and further information via the online service 'InfoClick'.
