Spritz

Everyone knows it, everyone loves it: Spritz is the quintessential summer cocktail. Its orange-red color and sparkling bubbles instantly transport us to the Riviera in beautiful Italy. Spritz Dolce, Bloody Spritz, Mojito Spritz, or Spritz Bitter - Aperol, Campari, and others create far more delights in our glass than just the famous classic. Although it was invented in Italy, we actually owe the Spritz to the Austrians. During the time when Veneto was part of Austria, they mixed the wine, which they found too strong, with mineral water and named the newly created cocktail "Gespritzter." This name is still used today to refer to a wine spritzer. There is no original recipe for the beloved Spritz! However, it originally consists of white wine, bitters, and soda water. Its variations are countless, but its orange-red color remains a signature.
