From the foreword by Jürgen Ehlers to the 7th edition: "The development of physics explains why such an 'old' work as Space, Time, Matter is still relevant: The Riemann-Einstein spacetime structure, which Weyl so masterfully described and presented as emerging from its mathematical and physical roots, remains the most comprehensive and successful spacetime theory developed to date and confronted with experience.
