Sprachphilosophie zur Einführung

Philosophy of language was only founded in the 20th century as an independent discipline of philosophy and immediately became one of its fundamental disciplines. However, its roots lie in antiquity, and since then numerous philosophies have dealt with the subject of language. This introduction focuses on 20th century linguistic thinking Frege, Wittgenstein, Austin, Heidegger, Davidson, Brandom and Derrida and discusses these positions with each other and with the historical predecessors Plato, Aristotle, Locke and Herder. The discussion is consistently oriented towards the fundamental questions of philosophy of language, so that the volume provides a systematic overview of the important traditions and positions of the discipline.
