Product details
Simply magical: Language, music, and movement in harmony. Little Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, Hans in Luck - every child knows the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. Even children who have only recently arrived in Germany will have encountered some fairy tale characters. For many, the children's and household tales are the first and often the most impressive encounter with literature for a long time. Language promotion through music - rediscovering fairy tales is the winner of the BMU Media Prize 2024. The book or the package (with CD) offers suggestions for enchanting reading situations, storytelling, and free speaking, for dramatic play, movement and dance, as well as for singing and making music. From all these play and music opportunities, small presentations can be developed together with the children, which strengthen self-image and simply provide fun. The author has created new songs, rhythmic poems, and rhythmicals for six selected fairy tales. Through singing and rhythmic speaking together, pronunciation is practiced, children's vocabulary is expanded, grammatical target structures are playfully exercised, and movement is integrated into language promotion. The suggestions and materials are suitable for everyday teaching in primary schools, as well as in inclusive settings and in learning groups with very heterogeneous language competencies. The differentiated materials can also be used in intensive German courses, DaZ classes, or welcome classes. Additionally, fairy tales are available for download as simplified texts with supportive word-image materials, reading cards, and worksheets for generative writing. The book is aimed at trainee teachers, primary school teachers, teachers in DaZ classes and German courses, as well as special education teachers.
